Dr. Isamu Amir, a Takemi Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, presented the interactive exhibit “Heartbeat and Health” during “Innovation Spotlight: Japan” at the Museum of Science, Boston.

Using the BODY workshop materials from Creative Health, attendees learned how to feel and measure their pulse at the wrist. Many participants, including children, enjoyed discovering their own heartbeats. Dr. David Barnes, a veterinarian and Takemi Fellow, created a poster comparing heart rates across species, adding an engaging perspective to the workshop. Approximately 40 attendees took part in the activity.

This experience demonstrated that Creative Health materials can be adapted for a variety of health education settings.
