Empowering Education: Koriyama Women's University Collaborates with Rwanda for BODY Workshops

Mr. Koji Yamawaki from Koriyama Women's University visited Rwanda to collaborate with NPO Think about Education in Rwanda and implement the BODY workshops. Yamawaki worked alongside Dr. Mwemezi Emmanuel Safina, a local physician, and Ms. Twahirwa Nathalie, a school nurse, to facilitate the workshops. At two schools, children worked with their teachers to discuss their knowledge of the heart, lungs, and blood using a Benn diagram. They also created storyboard presentations about historical figures in medicine and measured their pulse to plot a histogram. The presentations were creative and engaging.
