FOOD workshop tool trial in Rwanda

Drs. Okabe and Koriyama and I, along with a graduate student from Kanagawa University of Human Services, traveled to Rwanda to try out the FOOD workshop tools with local teachers, parents, children, and TER staff.  Both children and adults were engaged in Dr. Okabe’s 3D mapping and three-color food grouping exercises. We also explored local markets, visited TER and school vegetable gardens, and tried local cooking. In between these activities, we visited the University of Rwanda, JICA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Health to present our activities.
